Students are welcome to repeat the Fundamentals class, which covers different, basic techniques each time it is offered.
Metal Clay Jewelry - This is a 6 week workshop and although targeted towards beginners, the curriculum changes every session, so returning students are welcome. We'll cover important basic information and polishing/finishing techniques in the first two classes, and then you'll learn a new fabrication method in each of the last four weeks. The skills taught can range from bead making to ring sizing to designing custom textures and more. Pieces are fired after class and returned to the student the following week.
This class is presented on a week night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Introduction to Metal Clay - In the 1.5 day version of the Fundamentals class you make a pair of earrings (or two charms) and a pendant with a coil frame, separate bail, and completely finished, groomed, and perfected back. You'll make your own 'slip', do repairs, and learn many skills that are necessary for a novice metal clay artist.
This class is presented on a Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
